Ark Management Services was started  by Arnold Khoo as a sole proprietorship in 1987 and subsequently incorporated as Ark Infoware Pte Ltd.  in 1989. Its business is in software development and systems integration.

At the beginning, the vision of the company was to provide professional computer services and significant solutions on personal computers, at the time available only on large minicomputers or mainframes. While initially, much of the work was computer graphics related, by 1988, it was clear that the inexpensive 386 based microcomputer and its successors together with more rigorous software tools and databases would inevitably lead to a revolution in Information Technology.

From 1990, Ark began to systematically develop the PC skills that would be required, both in software development and in systems that allowed Ark to provide total solutions based on personal computers. In terms of clientele, since incorporation in 1989, the company has served a heterogeneous mix of local and foreign corporations, in the area of systems integration and software. As a software house, Ark has been engaged in the database systems since it's inception and is primarily focused in areas that involve the transaction of money or handling of people. Thus Ark has core products in banking, human resource, point-of-sale and club management amongst others.

Indeed, Ark is an award winning (Innovation award, EDB, 1996) Singaporean IT company with a regional business focus. To this end, Ark has offices in Singapore (HQ), Cambodia (Phnom Penh) and Vietnam (Quang Trung Software City, Ho Chi Minh City). In terms of technology, Ark is guided by professionals who have had decades of combined ICT experience. However, decision making is guided by straightforward down to earth values, which are especially important in ardous times.
